I bought a latex hood from Canadian outfit Kink Engineering to see how well their laser cutting works; the idea being that you can have a rubber hood that looks to have no openings from the outside but still allows you to breathe, and optionally, see. At $100 it’s not a cheap hood by any stretch but I thought it worth a punt to get that total rubber-gimp full enclosure look.
Firstly the fit is tight even though the rubber is stretchy: it is tolerable but definitely worth checking sizing with them. The micro holes do really work and vision is pretty good, probably better than those pepper-pot ones I’ve tried previously and a lot less noticeable (you really have to be right next to someone to notice).
